The cookies this site uses
This site is deliberately light on cookies. It uses a small number, and none of them identify you personally.
Language preference. Set only if you choose a language from the translate menu. It records the language you picked so that pages keep rendering in it as you move around the site. It is removed when you switch back to English.
Vercel Analytics. A privacy-respecting visit counter provided by our hosting service. It records that a page was viewed, not who viewed it. It does not use advertising identifiers and does not follow you to other websites.
Vercel Speed Insights. Measures how quickly pages load, so we can keep the site fast. It records timing information only, with no personal identifiers.
What this site does not use
We do not use marketing or advertising cookies, social-media tracking pixels, cross-site identifiers, or any cookie that builds a profile of you. Visiting this site does not place you on a marketing list.
The translate menu
The translate menu is powered by Google Translate. When you choose a language, the widget stores a language cookie and Google translates the page inside your browser. This is a Google service, and Google's own terms and privacy policy apply to it. Choosing a language does not send your personal information to Google. Controlling cookies
You can view, delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the language-preference cookie, the site still works, but it will not remember your chosen language as you move between pages. Blocking the analytics cookies makes no difference to how the site works for you.
