What it costs
The honest answer about cost.
Cost is the most misunderstood part of pharmacotherapy, and the most worried about. So here it is plainly: there are no private dosing fees, and the only cost is the standard PBS co-payment. Work out exactly what you would pay below.
The short version
Three things that stay true every visit.
No private dosing fees
There is no separate fee from this pharmacy for supervised dosing or dispensing your pharmacotherapy. That ended for everyone on 1 July 2023.
Only the PBS co-payment
You pay the standard Commonwealth PBS co-payment — the same patient contribution that applies to ordinary PBS medicines. Nothing extra.
No surprises at the counter
If an optional brand premium ever applies to you, we tell you the amount before you pay. Cost is never a surprise here.

What you would pay
Choose what applies to you. This shows the most you would pay per PBS prescription — the Commonwealth scheme co-payment, not the price of any particular medicine.
Up to $7.70 per prescription
- $7.70 is the most you pay for a PBS prescription.
- Once your household reaches $277.20 of PBS spending in a calendar year — the PBS Safety Net — PBS prescriptions are free for the rest of that year.
There are no private dosing or dispensing fees for PBS pharmacotherapy. The amounts above are the Commonwealth PBS co-payment — not a fee charged by this pharmacy.
Some products carry an optional brand premium. If one applies to you, we will always tell you the amount before you pay — never a surprise at the counter.
PBS figures current as of May 2026. Co-payments and Safety Net thresholds are set by the Australian Government and change on 1 January each year.
