What this place is

We are a pharmacy in Sunshine.

We help people who take medicine for opioid dependence.

This is sometimes called pharmacotherapy. It is a normal kind of health care.

You are welcome here

You are welcome here. We will treat you with respect.

We will not judge you.

You are not in trouble for coming here.

It is private

We dose you in a private area. It is away from the shop.

Other customers do not see.

We do not tell other people about your treatment. Your prescriber is told. The law says we keep it private.

What you need

You need a prescription from a doctor or a nurse practitioner.

If you do not have one, we can help you find one.

Bring these things if you have them:

  • your Medicare card
  • some photo ID
  • your prescription

Telling us the truth keeps you safe

Tell the pharmacist if you have used drugs or alcohol today.

You will not get in trouble. It is not a trick.

We need to know so that your dose is safe for you.

If you feel unwell

If you feel very sleepy, or your breathing is slow, this is not safe.

Call 000 straight away. 000 is the emergency phone number.

We can give you a free medicine called naloxone. Naloxone can save a life in an overdose. We will show you how to use it.

Getting help in your language

We speak many languages at the counter.

If we do not speak your language, we can get an interpreter on the phone. It is free.

How to contact us

You can phone the pharmacy. The phone number is in the footer at the bottom of this page.

When you phone, ask for the dosing pharmacist.

You can also come in and talk to us.

If you are not happy

If something is wrong, you can tell us. We want to fix it.

You can also tell an outside group. The Feedback page explains how.
